WTGDEFWisdomTree Global Defense IndexThe WisdomTree Global Defense Index tracks companies that are domiciled and listed across a wide set of developed and emerging markets, including the U.S., Europe, and Asia-Pacific. To be eligible, companies must derive at least 25% of their revenue from defense-related activities, such as military platforms, components, software, aerospace technologies, and intelligence/surveillance systems. Constituents must also have a minimum free-float market capitalization of USD 200 million and an average three-month daily trading volume of at least USD 1 million. Each company is assigned an Exposure Score of 1 or 2, based on the percentage of revenue derived from defense: 25–50% earns a score of 1, and more than 50% earns a 2. Regional exposures (U.S., Europe, and Other Markets) are weighted by a combination of macroeconomic conditions—such as defense budget growth, sovereign security threats, and R&D intensity—and momentum signals. The index is reconstituted quarterly (March, June, September, December), with constituents weighted by free-float market capitalization multiplied by their exposure score, subject to caps of 5% for Exposure Score 2 names and 2.5% for Exposure Score 1 names.
