Overview
Product Description
The WisdomTree Europe Defense Fund seeks to track the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the WisdomTree Europe Defense Index. Learn more about the Index that WDEF is designed to track.
Why WDEF?
- Captures the structural multi-year re-armament cycle in Europe—one of the few secular growth stories in developed-market defense—and does so through a liquid, U.S.-domiciled ETF.
- Use to complement existing holdings, and pairs naturally with U.S. defense primes and broad equity ETFs, lowering single-country risk and adding a geopolitical “shock absorber”
- Use to satisfy demand for pure-play European defense exposure, a hedge against escalating geopolitical risk, and a thematic sleeve that can sit within either the “satellite” or “strategic” allocation buckets of a core-satellite framework.

Performance is historical and does not guarantee future results. Current performance may be lower or higher than quoted. Investment returns and principal value of an investment will fluctuate so that an investor's shares, when redeemed, may be worth more or less than their original cost. Performance data for the most recent month-end is available above.
WisdomTree shares are bought and sold at market price (not NAV) and are not individually redeemed from the Fund. Total Returns are calculated using the daily 4:00pm net asset value (NAV). Market price returns reflect the midpoint of the bid/ask spread as of the close of trading on the exchange where Fund shares are listed. Market price returns do not represent the returns you would receive if you traded shares at other times.

After-Tax Held Returns represent return on Fund shares after taxes on distributions and assumes Fund shares have not been sold. After-Tax Sold Returns represent returns on Fund shares after taxes on distributions and the sale of the Fund shares.
After-tax returns are calculated using the historical highest individual federal marginal income tax rates and do not reflect the impact of state and local taxes. Actual after-tax returns depend on the investor's individual tax rates and may differ from those shown.
In some cases the return after taxes may exceed the return before taxes due to an assumed tax benefit from any losses on a sale of fund shares at the end of the measurement period.

We advise you to consider the fund's objectives, risks, charges and expenses carefully before investing. The prospectus contains this and other important information about the fund. Please read the prospectus carefully before you invest.
There are risks associated with investing, including potential loss of principal. This Fund focuses its investments in Europe, thereby increasing the impact of events and developments associated with the region which can adversely affect performance. Foreign investing involves specific risks, such as risk of loss from currency fluctuation or political or economic uncertainty. A Fund focusing its investments on certain sectors and/or regions increases its vulnerability to any single economic or regulatory development. This may result in greater share price volatility. The Fund invests in the securities included in, or representative of, its Index regardless of their investment merit and the Fund does not attempt to outperform its Index. The composition of the Index is governed by an Index Committee and the Index may not perform as intended. Please read the Fund’s prospectus for specific details regarding the Fund’s risk profile.
- Fund Distribution Yield - Fund Distribution Yield is calculated by annualizing the most recent Fund distribution and dividing by the current Fund NAV. The yield represents a single distribution from the Fund and does not represent the total returns of the Fund.
- SEC 30-day Yield – The yield figure reflects the dividends and interest earned during the period, after the deduction of the fund's expenses. This is also referred to as the "standardized yield"
- Cost to hedge - Calculated by assessing the interest rate differential between short-term rates in the U.S. and the respective foreign currency. This cost is included into the performance of the fund and is not a separate fee.
- Embedded Income Yield - represents the trailing 12-month dividend yield minus the cost of hedge. This represents the dividend yield adjusted for the cost of hedge and assumed for no change in foreign exchange rates.
- Median Bid/Ask Spread (30-Day Avg.): This figure represents the typical difference between the prices at which a fund can be bought and sold, based on the median of daily bid/ask spreads over the past 30 trading days.
- Dividend Yield - A financial ratio that shows how much a company pays out in dividends each year relative to its share price.
- Gross Buyback Yield - Represents the company’s gross share repurchase over the past year to its market capitalization.
- Net Buyback Yield - Represents the amount of a company’s net share repurchase over the past year to its market capitalization.
