Beginning with the upcoming index rebalance for the WisdomTree High Yield Corporate Bond Index, the WisdomTree U.S. Short-term High Yield Corporate Bond Index, and the WisdomTree US High Yield Corporate Bond, Zero Duration Index on November 30th, the index methodology will be updated as follows:

Ratings: The definition of issues in a distress state is expanded to include a market metric threshold.  At rebalance, issues which have an option-adjusted yield spread over Treasuries (OAS) that exceeds 300% of the average option adjusted spread for the High Yield corporate bond universe will be excluded from consideration. 

Ratings Change: The language describing the ratings check is clarified to synchronize with the ratings definition.

For the upcoming month-end rebalance, we have made a slight enhancement to the hedging methodology for the WisdomTree High Yield Zero Duration Index. We have expanded the constraints on the optimization to include a designated constraint establishing an aggregate duration difference between the underlying portfolio and the hedge portfolio of +/-.02.  This constraint works in combination with an objective of minimizing duration exposures across the curve to facilitate its duration target and offset the sensitivity of the long exposure to rate movements across the yield curve.

This change is reflected in the updated hedging methodology posted on the website.

There was a discrepancy in the return calculations for the WisdomTree US High Yield Corporate Bond Index (WFCHY), WisdomTree US Short-term High Yield Corporate Bond Index (WFCHYS), and the WisdomTree U.S. High Yield Corporate Bond, Zero Duration Index (HYZD) due to a corporate action and a pricing error within the index, which impacted the performance for these indices on April 1. The issue has been fixed and the April 1 returns for the indices have been corrected.
