Research Assistant

Job Description

WisdomTree’s Research Assistant is on the Research team and reports to the Associate Director of Research. WisdomTree is looking for an entry level analyst that will help the team in all aspects of its daily functions. The primary responsibility will be helping process and update written research commentary, quarterly marketing collateral and presentations. This position represents an opportunity to gain experience working within a growing industry in a fast paced environment.

  • Researching market and economic trends, highlighting WisdomTree investment options to express these themes
  • Analysis of performance and fundamentals of WisdomTree Funds and Indexes
  • Responsible for editing and assisting the publication of research commentaries and papers
  • Production and formatting of research and sales presentations
  • Ability to analyze and automate large datasets within excel
  • Complete ad hoc data requests from sales and research teams
  • Participate in weekly asset allocation meeting

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 0-2 years’ experience in financial industry
  • Passion for the financial markets and exchange traded fund industry
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional work ethic as well as time and process management skills
  • Ability to write, edit and proofread research commentary and collateral
  • Superior Excel skills with the ability to automate processes using VBA and Macros

Internal Sales Analyst - Institutional Team

Job Description

WisdomTree Asset Management is seeking an Internal Sales Associate for our Institutional sales team based in our Midtown Manhattan headquarters. In this role, you will work closely with an established Regional Sales Directors to increase sales of our exchange traded funds (“ETFs”). We are seeking candidates with a strong knowledge of the financial services industry and a winning attitude.

  • Design and manage sales campaigns. Identify targets and investment thesis.
  • Manage performance and data characteristics in third party databases
  • Assist with channel, prospect and client management and reporting
  • Proactively contact key individuals for qualification via phone calls and targeted emails
  • Deliver value added commentary, research, data, and due diligence material to Advisors throughout the sales cycle

Quantitative Strategist

We are looking for a Quantitative Strategist within our Fixed Income and Currency Group. This candidate will focus on developing quantitative based strategies that can be incorporated into both passively managed indices and rules-based investment processes for active funds. This role will report to the Head of Fixed Income and Currency.


  • Serve as a primary developer of quantitative based fixed income and multi-asset strategies for creating future products and enhancing existing products
  • Assist Head of Fixed Income in positioning quantitative based products to the sales force and larger external clients
  • Work to develop internal models to enhance investment decision making and risk management
  • Develop written content on fixed income index construction, risk management, and quantitative solutions
  • Work with external clients in developing quantitative solutions to their fixed income challenges

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience, 3+ years focused on fixed income markets
  • Exceptional quantitative and qualitative skills
  • Broad based knowledge of empirical methods for fixed income markets
  • Strong writing skills and presentation skills, specifically to sophisticated clients

Asset Allocation Strategist

Job Description

WisdomTree Asset Management is an exciting and growing leader in the ETF industry. We are hiring an Asset Allocation Strategist for our Research Team based in our Midtown Manhattan headquarters. This candidate will play a key role in helping WisdomTree develop an internal asset allocation strategy.


Responsibilities

  • Provide customized consultations with WisdomTree clients on their asset allocation models
  • Help determine asset allocation suggestions and customization for each client using informed views of the most attractive segments of the various markets
  • Use a decision-making process that includes a combination of fundamental and technical analytical techniques
  • Deliver client-facing communication and presentations
  • Analytical assessments of different portfolios and how those may translate to the realization of different types of investment goals
  • Utilize ETF’s and/or mutual funds to express investment views
  • Write commentaries and/or blogs for investors

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and writing skills
  • 4+ years of ETF/mutual fund industry experience and/or experience analyzing macro-economic factors preferred
  • Familiarity of various industry tools (i.e. Bloomberg, Morningstar, Zephyr) and how these strategies might compare mutual funds, ETF’s or other investment vehicles
  • Experience making decisions that involve choosing between different asset classes or investments
  • Familiarity with domestic, developed international and emerging market equities, fixed income and currencies
  • History of running tactical or strategic asset allocation models

Fixed Income Strategist

Job Description

We are looking for a Fixed Income Strategist, Credit to work within our Fixed Income and Currency Group. This candidate will be the credit based products specialist, while also serving as a generalist with product expertise across the fixed income asset suite. This role will report to the Head of Fixed Income and Currency.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary specialist for credit based products in sales support, product development, and research
  • Provide front-line sales support in soliciting and nurturing large client relationships
  • Assist Head of Fixed Income in positioning credit based funds to the sales force and external clients
  • Participate in the oversight with investment teams of our subadvisor(s) for credit based products
  • Develop written content supporting credit based products

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience, 3+ years focused on credit and corporate debt markets
  • Exceptional quantitative and qualitative skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills within a client facing role
  • Knowledge of corporate and other credit based products, expertise in broad based fixed income
  • Willingness to travel (20%-30%)
  • Proven experience in a client facing role

Public Relations Associate

WisdomTree Investments (NASDAQ: WETF) has a Public Relations Associate position available in New York, NY.  This person will be responsible for helping to build and maintain WisdomTree’s brand and reputation and helping to maintain a positive perception of the company through interaction with external audiences.   Reports to the Director of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations, with a specific focus on media relations.

Job Description

  • Manage and grow media relations programs including traditional and new social media mediums
  • Become a WisdomTree product expert and primary contact for reporters covering WisdomTree
  • Manage media inquiries and facilitate through proper framework
  • Coordinate press interviews with senior managers, broadcast and print
  • Draft press releases and manage press release distribution process, external and internal
  • Provide thought leadership on ETF Industry.  Collaborate with colleagues in Marketing and Research to understand changing trends in the financial markets, the impact on the ETF products and devise communications strategies accordingly.
  • Provide timely counsel and information to senior management regarding financial market perceptions and industry trends; serve as a visible and valued resource for all WisdomTree departments  
  • Coordinate a wide variety of administrative tasks, including tracking press coverage, managing activity reports and coordinating compliance process
  • Support company’s corporate investor relations program, including: preparing corporate materials and tracking investor activity

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years experience in financial public relations agency or corporate roles
  • Experience with financial products and financial press preferred
  • Strong oral and written communications skills and excellent attention to detail; knowledge of AP style
  • Must excel at time management; energetic self-starter with ability to work with various levels of management as well as independently within the firm's demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and related PR software
